Willack And Jeanack

This is a transcript from an interview with Willack and Jeanack MacDonald in probably the late 70's when Willack was 77.

Willack was the last blacksmith in Invermoriston and worked the smiddy beside the bridges. He and his sister, Jeanack, never married and lived in the house next to the smiddy.

Bill Owen carried out the interview, and the recording was found in his house after he died. The sound quality is pretty poor, and as Willack was hard enough to understand at the best of times, this has led to a lot of gaps in the transcript!
